Who doesnt likes fritters ? Its always our families delight. My MIL makes delicious masala fritters. Here is her recipe of spiced fritters. My MIL used to grind the masala in stone grinder .That gives the fritters a unique taste.Give it a try,u will surely love it.I have used green plantain. We can use any vegetable for these fritters like eggplant, mirchi, potato, gobi or even egg.
Ingredients:
1.Green Plantain - 12.Besan Flour - 1 cup
3.Rice flour - 2 tbsp
4.Chilli pwdr - 1 tsp
5.Baking soda - 2 pinches
6.Orange color - a pinch (optional)
7.Salt - as needed
For Grinding:
1.Fennel Seeds - 1tbsp
2.Ginger - 1/2 inch
3.Garlic - 5 pods
Method:
* Grind ginger ,garlic pods and fennel seeds into a fine paste.* Take a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients except plantain, including the grinded paste.
* Add water slowly and make it into a thick batter.
* Now dip the sliced green plantain and deep fry it in the oil.
* Wipe it off with a tissue and serve with ketch up.
Note:
The grinded paste should have less moisture.
